Steve Sandvik, Mower County Sheriff
Steve began his career in law enforcement in 1997 at the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and transitioned to Mower County in 2001. In 2018, he was elected as Sheriff for Mower County.
Steve resides in Mower County with is wife of 41 years. He has 2 children & 2 grandchildren.
Steve is a special breed of peace officer who has the charisma to lead, the drive to inspire and the compassion to listen. Steve’s vocation is not about putting people in jail, but rather that of fixing bad situations for those in need.

Dustin was raised in Southern California, specifically in Santa Barbara, before relocating to Minnesota during his high school years. He is the proud father of three daughters, two of whom live in Austin, MN, while the middle daughter resides in Colorado. He also has one granddaughter and one grandson.
During the summer months, Dustin enjoys kayaking and traveling to Colorado. His friends and family are central to his life. Additionally, he is skilled in landscape design, specializing in hardscaping.
Ben Vondal, Sales Representative Goodin Company
Ben has dedicated a decade of his career to serving as a sales representative for Goodin Company, a wholesale provider specializing in plumbing, heating, and industrial supplies. Residing in Byron, MN, he shares his home with his wife, Marnie, and their four young children. Over the past five years, Ben has organized a charity golf tournament in memory of a friend who tragically lost his life to suicide. This event has successfully raised funds to promote suicide prevention awareness and support local families facing difficulties.
